Get in the Know campaign -LLR Integrated Care Board

Objective:

The "Get in the Know" campaign, spearheaded by the LLR Integrated Care Board, is focused on raising awareness about the variety of health services available in our community. Based in Leicester, we aim to demystify the process of accessing health care, and educate our community members about the many health resources at their disposal. The campaign's goal is to highlight existing services, facilitate an open dialogue about health and wellness, and foster a more health-conscious community.

Impact:

The "Get in the Know" campaign has the potential to substantially enhance the wellbeing of our community. By raising awareness about the health services available, we are empowering our community members to take a proactive role in their health management. This initiative is also expected to decrease health disparities by increasing healthcare accessibility and utilisation. Furthermore, by encouraging an open dialogue about health and wellness, we aim to foster a supportive community where individual health needs are understood and respected.

Project Harmony/Project Shakti

Objective:

Project Harmony is a purpose-driven initiative with a focus on engaging with disadvantaged communities in Leicester. Our mission is to build bridges of understanding, fostering connections between these communities and the wider public. By fostering these connections, we aim to create a supportive environment where information flows freely, and individuals feel confident to seek assistance when needed. We also aim to raise awareness about the variety of support services available, helping community members to overcome barriers to accessing these services.

Impact:

Project Harmony has the potential to significantly transform the local community by promoting inclusivity and awareness. Through our efforts to connect disadvantaged communities with the wider public, we expect to encourage greater understanding and empathy. By raising awareness about support services, we hope to ensure that all community members, regardless of their background, have the information and confidence to access the help they need. As a result, we expect to see increased utilization of support services, leading to improved wellbeing and quality of life for disadvantaged community members.

Leicester Food Plan Project

Objective:

Our Leicester Food Plan Project, in collaboration with Leicester City Council (LCC), is an initiative that encourages community members to grow their own food. We aim to promote the benefits of home-grown produce, impart practical skills related to gardening and agriculture, and foster a sense of community through shared goals and collaborative efforts. This project not only promotes healthier eating habits but also contributes to sustainable living and fosters resilience within our community.

Impact:

The impact of the Leicester Food Plan Project has the potential to be multi-faceted and long-lasting. By encouraging individuals to grow their own food, we hope to promote healthier dietary choices and a deeper appreciation for the effort and resources that go into food production.

Cycling Initiative Project

Objective:

Our Cycling Initiative is a women-centric campaign aimed at encouraging more women to consider cycling as a regular form of exercise and transportation. The objective of this project is two-fold. First, to improve the fitness and health levels of women in our community by promoting an active lifestyle. Second, to further the cause of environmental sustainability by endorsing cycling - a green and efficient mode of travel.

Impact:

By encouraging more women to take up cycling, we anticipate seeing a rise in overall fitness levels within our community, which can contribute to improved health and wellbeing. Cycling not only provides a great cardiovascular workout but also improves balance, strength, and endurance. Moreover, promoting this environmentally friendly mode of transportation aligns with our goal of creating a more sustainable community. With fewer cars on the road, we can expect reduced carbon emissions and improved air quality. Ultimately, our Cycling Initiative is aimed at fostering a healthier, more active, and environmentally conscious community.
